In her latest documentary “Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words,” the rapper finally admitted that she had lied during her 2022 interview with Gayle King, where she previously denied any intimate relationship with Tory Lanez. This recent confession sheds new light on the events surrounding her tumultuous past with Lanez, particularly after his conviction for assault in the highly publicized 2020 shooting incident.
In the CBS Mornings interview with Gayle King, Megan claimed that she and Lanez had never been sexually involved. However, in her new Amazon Prime documentary, she now reveals that she felt caught off guard by Gayle’s question and decided to “BS” her way through it. Megan admits that her connection with Lanez was more complicated, confirming they had “hooked up once or twice” but downplaying its significance, stating it only happened when she was intoxicated.
Caught off guard, Megan admits to “BS’ing” about Tory
Despite this revelation, Megan emphasized that the details of their sexual relationship are unrelated to the assault, which left her physically and emotionally scarred. During the 2020 incident, Megan alleges that Lanez pointed a gun in her direction and told her to “Dance,” leading to his conviction. For this, Lanez was sentenced to ten years in prison, which his legal team is currently appealing.
Legal team pounces on Megan’s admission
The timing of Megan’s confession is raising eyebrows, especially among Lanez’s defense team, who argue that her admission affects her credibility as a witness. Ceasar McDowell, CEO of Unite the People and a representative for Lanez, told TMZ, “The fact that Megan lied about her sexual relationship with Tory obviously makes her an unreliable witness. If someone lies in front of millions of people, how can you trust what they say any other time?”
