Carlee Russell stopped on the highway before she went missing, which was caught on video [Video].

Carlee Russell went missing in Alabama the night before the video footage of her stopping on a highway to help a child was made public.

The movie was taken from Traffic Cam Archive, an online company that records, catalogs, stores, and sells traffic camera footage.

Russell, who is 25 years old, hasn’t been seen since she called 911 in Hoover, Alabama, around 9:30 p.m. Thursday to report a kid walking on I-459.

After calling 911, she called her brother’s girlfriend and stopped to check on the 3- or 4-year-old child. The family member she was talking to on the phone says she heard Russell ask the child if they were okay. Then they heard Carlee scream, and then the phone went dead. After that, they could only hear the sound of traffic.

When the cops came, they found her red Mercedes running and some of her things, like her phone, in the car. But neither Russell nor the kid she said she saw walking on the highway could be found.

Chief of Police Nick Derzis said on Saturday that they are trying to improve the video to find more clues about where Russell went.

Derzis said, “It shows that Carlee’s car was there, and we know she wasn’t there when the police came after the 911 call.”

“She is still missing, and finding her is our main goal,” he said. “Everything we have is in use right now.”

Derzis said, “We’re working closely with the family to make sure they know what we’re doing.” “They’re getting a lot of leads on their own, which they send to us.”

Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama said Saturday night that the prize for information leading to Russell’s safe return is now $58,260.95.
