“SHE SOLD HER BODY” Mary Harvey Reveals Why Marjorie Was A Paid Escort Before Marriag |

Mary Harvey just BURIED Steve & Marjorie’s fairy tale

When Mary Harvey looks back at how fast her marriage to Steve Harvey unraveled, she says the pain still feels fresh.

“When I think about how quickly he moved forward from me to Marjorie, uh that was disturbing,” she recalls, pointing to emails, text messages, and a slow drip of suspicion that became undeniable proof. She thought Steve would at least make her whole after years of sacrifice.

Instead, she watched Marjorie Bridges—whom she now calls a paid escort from before the marriage—step directly into the life Mary helped build.

“Who the [__] picks Steve Harvey as the representative for all things black?” Mary says bluntly. “Steve Harvey, let’s keep this [__] funky. Steve Harvey is on his third marriage. His third wife was mistress to his second wife.

Yet black people have anointed this [__] the oracle when it comes to black dating. This [__] WROTE A BOOK ON DATING. YOU WANT YOUR THIRD WIFE, HOMIE? With all respect, why can’t we pick a [__] that knows what he talking about?”

Mary insists she’s not playing anymore. She claims Steve and Marjorie spent years trying to silence her, drain her bank account, and bury the truth about Marjorie’s past. “When I tell y’all that Mary Harvey is not going to leave any dirty secret of Marjorie Harvey untouched, I’m not playing,” she says.

“She’s been going back and forth calling Steve and Marjorie bullies after they tried for years to silence her and drain her pockets and steadily been exposing Marjorie’s fake past.”

Mary believes her entire life would look different if Marjorie hadn’t arrived as a paid escort and booted her out of her own home.

“Like somebody snapped their finger and there was no marriage between us, you know? It was like boom.”

Mary Shackleford married Steve in 1996 and stayed until 2005. But behind the scenes, she says Marjorie had already decided to sink her claws in.

When Mary met Steve, he had just left his first wife and family because—in Mary’s telling—he felt they were holding him back. Mary didn’t even know Steve was still married at first. She let him live with her for years, long before fame or fortune arrived. She says she helped build his career.

After they married and she discovered he had another family, she made sure child support got paid and even gave him $250,000 from her savings to complete the purchase of his comedy club—plus she did the interior design for free.

“I had someone that took up for me. I never was afraid because he was there. He was like the brother, daddy, uncle, everybody. And that meant a lot to me. My family meant a lot to me. I felt safe for the first time in my life.”

She didn’t know Marjorie had slowly re-entered the picture. The official Steve-and-Marjorie story is clean: she attended one of his early shows, he saw her in the crowd, said she’d be his wife one day, and history was written. “I came late. I came down front with my girlfriend. Our seats were right here at the front, right by the stage. So he’s just quiet.

He’s just keep staring at me. So I’m waiting on him to make me a part of the show so we can get on with the show. He stayed quiet so long staring at me.

Now everybody in the club is looking at me. And he finally realized, okay, I got to say something. He was like, ‘Oh, I’m sorry, I don’t know who this is, but I’m going to marry her.’”

Mary’s version is darker. She says Marjorie wanted nothing to do with Steve back when he was broke and struggling.

At the time, Marjorie reportedly ran with drug lords and pimps, married to Jim Townzen—a major dealer in the Memphis substance scene—and allegedly nicknamed “Lady Heroin.” She supposedly dropped out of the University of Memphis because her reputation made it impossible to face classmates.

After Jim went to prison, she moved on to his cousin Darnell Woods, an even bigger dealer, and had daughter Lori with him. When the feds came for Darnell, Marjorie had no education, no money, and no clean way forward.

So she went back to Steve. But instead of approaching him directly, Mary alleges Marjorie started sleeping with Steve’s bodyguard, Big Boom, just to get closer.

By the time that arrangement ended, Marjorie had become Steve’s side chick. Steve reportedly put her in an apartment, paid all her bills, and traveled with her while feeding Mary excuses. But the better Steve treated Marjorie, the bolder she became.

“The housekeeper, she brought it to me. And when she handed it to me, it was almost like that package burned my hand. I knew it was something crazy. I didn’t want to look in it, but of course I had to look in it. So I opened it and I’m reading this letter. And the more I’m reading this letter and her wording is so defined. It was like somebody was rolling tape. Her verbiage about him, like how he spoke, the words he said, you know, how he walked in the room, everything. She was like painting a picture of him being, you know, at their apartment or whatever.”

When Mary confronted Steve, she says he turned “deadly cold.” The divorce dragged. Steve and Marjorie allegedly punished her by going after her son, Winton.

Mary claims Winton came back from Steve’s house with unexplained bruises. She filed a police report. The case was shut down.

Steve immediately filed for full custody. Mary didn’t have the money for expensive lawyers. She lost.

“That financially my life is in a shambles. That is absolutely true. But it’s been like that since 2005. So this is nothing.”

She adds: “Because we have a man of power and authority and he used that in the court in a small town in Texas. He was able to manipulate this entire situation to his benefit.

And it does happen. It gave him that because I’m a nobody. You know, his lawyers came in, his team of lawyers and his entourage and you know, he’s a man with the power.

He’s in 60 markets. He’s written these books. You know, he’s socially connected with the programs and Disney and all these type people. It’s easy for him to come to court and say, ‘Oh, this woman has no job.

You know, socially she is of no significance. She has no moral support or no emotional support.’” Mary says everyone shifted to Steve’s side of the table. She became insignificant.

After years of speaking out, she finally feels people are listening. One commenter wrote: “Everybody knew that Marjorie was for the streets. The only one who thought he could change that was Steve.”

Another said: “People talking about Steve Harvey forget that he abandoned his first wife and kids the moment he started to make money and fame, cheated on his second wife, Mary, with Marjorie and later married her.

It has got nothing to do with women. It’s a lesson. If she is an angry woman, she has a right to be. She was with him when he was a nobody and had nothing.”

Steve and Marjorie have consistently denied these claims.

Representatives for Steve Harvey have previously called such allegations false and defamatory, noting that court records from the divorce and custody proceedings tell a different story.

But Mary is no longer staying quiet. “I’ll see you in the next video,” she says. “Bye, baddies.”
