Well, well. Just days after Urban and Kidman finalized their divorce, the bombshell news unfolded.

According to court docs obtained by the outlet, the former couple finalized their split in a Nashville court on Tuesday, Jan. 6. Neither Kidman nor Urban will pay alimony or spousal support, as outlined in the paperwork. The documents further state that Kidman will be the primary parent of their two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15, and that no monthly child support will be paid.

The finalization comes months after news broke on Sept. 29 that the pair had separated. Kidman filed for divorce the following day, citing “irreconcilable differences” and requesting to be named the “primary residential parent” of their kids together. Kidman also shares two adult children, Connor and Bella, with ex-husband Tom Cruise.

As part of the proceedings, Kidman submitted a marital dissolution agreement that both she and the country singer signed. The proposed parenting plan detailed that Sunday and Faith would spend 306 days per year with Kidman and 59 days with Urban, along with alternating weekends. The former couple also agreed to continue coparenting cooperatively.

“In the unlikely event that the parties do not agree on a major decision for either minor child, [Nicole] shall have final decision-making authority,” the plan reads.

While neither Kidman nor Urban publicly addressed the divorce at the time, sources claimed they had been “quietly separated for a while.”

“[They] needed time to figure out if they were going to actually divorce,” the insider added. “She had faith they could work it out. This wasn’t Nicole’s decision, and she is devastated.”

The source also said that Kidman felt “her trust was lost,” noting that the couple had been living “separate lives” despite making joint public appearances earlier this year.

Kidman and Urban began dating in 2005 and married one year later, often speaking candidly over the years about the challenges and growth within their relationship.
