Michael Jackson’s daughter has broken her silence: “My dad used to…See more

Almost two weeks after the release of the HBO documentary Neverland, Paris Jackson has responded to the many comments people have made on social media, criticizing her for not standing up for her late father, Michael Jackson. who is facing serious charges.

The famous pop star’s daughter explained in a Twitter post on Friday that it was “not her role” to defend Michael following the sexual harassment allegations made by Wade Robson and James Safechuck in the documentary.

Paris, 20, also praised her cousin Taj Jackson, who is also a lawyer in the case, for not responding to the allegations, thus keeping the peace amid the controversy.

“I can’t say anything that hasn’t already been said about protection. Taj is doing a dedicated job on his own,” she wrote on Twitter. “And I support him. But that’s not my role.”

Although a source recently told People magazine that Paris “hasn’t seen” the explosive documentary, she appears to have a relatively calm outlook on the situation since the allegations resurfaced.

Days after the broadcast premiered, she alluded to the documentary in a series of Twitter posts that came in response to reports that she was concerned about how the film and the allegations against her father would affect her career. While she didn’t mention the documentary directly, Paris appeared to refer to it as “tabloids and lies.”

“I haven’t actually made any statements yet, especially regarding how it affects my work life. You guys are getting a little carried away. At least this wasn’t a disgusting and offensive article,” Paris said on Twitter. /Telegraph/
