Former NFL star Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson is celebrating a special moment after officiating comedian Gary Owen’s wedding to Brianna Johnson in Houston.
Johnson shared a photo from the ceremony on Instagram showing himself standing with the newlyweds following their March 7 wedding. The former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver used the post to congratulate the couple and thank Owen for trusting him with the important role.
“Congratulations to my brother @garyowencomedy & @_briowen on their nuptials, a special thank you for allowing me as a brother of the cloth & newly anointed officiant to marry you both,” Johnson wrote in the caption. “Wishing you a lifetime of love & happiness, here’s to a long & happy marriage. – Honorable Bishop Ocho.”
The ceremony took place at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston and drew a crowd of celebrity friends and family. Several of Owen’s “Think Like a Man” co-stars, including Terrence J, Romany Malco, Jerry Ferrara, Michael Ealy, and producer Will Packer, served as groomsmen during the celebration.
Johnson’s appearance as officiant added another notable name to the star-studded guest list. Known for his outspoken personality and sense of humor during his NFL career, the six-time Pro Bowler brought his signature charm to the ceremony as he helped guide the couple through their vows.
The wedding also featured several heartfelt family moments. Owen and Johnson’s twin sons, Royal and Rome, served as ring bearers, while Brianna Johnson’s daughter, Reign, participated in the ceremony as a junior bridesmaid.
