Angie Stone’s Kids Reportedly Selling Her Home Due To Overwhelming Costs
The children of Angie Stone are reportedly preparing to sell her Atlanta home citing heavy mortgage bills and ongoing costs, per Eurweb.
Stone died on March 1, 2025 from a car crash in Montgomery, Alabama after wrapping up a Mardi Gras performance.
Diamond Stone and Michael D’Angelo Archer II, the two children of the late singer, have been in charge of her estate since her passing. The role has been overwhelming for the pair as Stone had been fighting to recover the royalties and earnings she was owed after putting in over 40 years in the music.
Weeks before her passing, Stone posted a video online, revealing her financial struggles with Universal Music. The “No More Rain” singer spoke candidly about how she had been deprived of her rightful earnings after decades in the industry.
“After 40-something years in the business, I’m like, well, where are my royalties going? Because I’m not getting them,” Stone said. “Come to find out, Universal Music has been receiving all my royalties, all my mechanicals. They’ve taken pretty much everything. They’ve stolen—well, I won’t say stolen, but they have taken all the monies that were due to me.”
Aside from overdue royalties, Stone’s family filed a lawsuit last year against the drivers of her van that overturned and another tractor-trailer, as well as the companies that own them
